Throughout the semester, Micro/Macro Textiles: Object Studies students select one or more objects from the TRC collection to explore closely. These objects hold a topic of personal or professional interest and/or one that acts as a foundation for students' own creative work. Students together, and one-on-one with the instructor, to identify the relevant areas in the collection. This project consists of multiple phases that result in a new and updated knowledge base on objects in the collection. It is archived both here in a blog format and in the TRC as part of the objects’ records. The format of this project is intended to develop a long term focus on a single or group of themes; patient, detail-oriented research skills; and thoughtful and intimate evaluation of the chosen objects.
